Accreditation & Membership

Unicollege is an internationally accredited university authorised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) as a degree-awarding institution. Its programmes are delivered in accordance with European and international academic standards, and its global engagement is supported by formal memberships and partnerships with leading international organisations and institutions.

Italian Accreditation — Ministry of University and Research (MUR)

In 2003, Unicollege obtained formal accreditation from the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), consolidating its position within the Italian higher education system. This recognition authorises the provision of accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes aligned with European and international standards.

As an SSML (Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici) authorised institution, Unicollege issues academic degrees with legal value in the Italian Higher Education System, fully recognised across the European Higher Education Area and equivalent to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees awarded by Italian universities.

European Higher Education Area & Bologna Process

Unicollege programmes are designed in full compliance with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) framework, with credit recognition managed through the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The Bachelor's Degree corresponds to 180 ECTS over three years, while master's-level programmes follow EHEA second-cycle standards.

This alignment ensures that Unicollege qualifications are fully transferable, recognised, and comparable across the 49 EHEA member countries.

U.S. Partnership — Westcliff University (WSCUC-Accredited)

Through its academic partnership with Westcliff University (Irvine, California), Unicollege delivers master's and doctoral programmes carrying the academic recognition of the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) — the same accrediting body that recognises institutions such as the University of California Berkeley, the University of California San Diego, and Stanford University.

This partnership produces dual-track academic credentials combining the Italian academic environment with U.S.-accredited graduate and doctoral degrees, delivered through online modalities with live faculty interactions.
