Curriculum — 10 graduate IT courses + Capstone

The MSIT is structured over four terms across two academic years, covering enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, governance and emerging technologies, and concluding with a capstone IT project.

IT Project Management3 credits
Planning, executing and controlling complex IT projects across budget, scope and risk constraints. Covers Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models adopted in enterprise environments.
Information Systems Architecture3 credits
Designing layered enterprise system architectures — from data and application tiers to integration patterns — aligned with business goals and technical constraints.
Database Administration3 credits
Relational and non-relational database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high-availability strategies for production-grade systems.
Network Security3 credits
Threat models, secure network design, segmentation, intrusion detection and incident response across enterprise and hybrid-cloud topologies.
Cloud Infrastructure3 credits
Architecting and operating cloud environments on the major hyperscalers — covering compute, storage, networking, IaC and cost optimisation for production workloads.
Enterprise Systems3 credits
ERP, CRM and integration platforms in large organisations — with focus on system selection, deployment, change management and the lifecycle of business-critical applications.
IT Governance3 credits
Frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC 27001) for steering IT investment, performance and risk in alignment with organisational strategy and regulatory obligations.
Business Continuity3 credits
Business-impact analysis, disaster recovery planning, resilience engineering and continuity testing — ensuring critical services survive disruption.
Emerging Technologies3 credits
Strategic evaluation of AI, edge computing, blockchain, IoT and quantum-adjacent technologies — assessing maturity, business fit and adoption pathways.
Capstone IT Project6 credits
A supervised, end-to-end IT initiative addressing a real organisational challenge — from requirements analysis and architecture design to implementation, evaluation and presentation before a faculty committee.
